Out of order - Our special visit to Cooneen & other family sites
(I have had awful trouble writing up my blog - internet access as well as finding my blog!!!!!!)
Our visit to Fermanagh this time had been made very special this time as I have met a COLLUM descendant in America. On our last visit I found out that most of my great-grandfathers' (Robert COLLUM) siblings went to America & CHANGED THEIR NAME TO COLEMAN.
So Carol found out she was a COLLUM..... as well as a COLEMAN....& she believed my story!
So not only Carol but her husband Arthur & adult 'children's Paul, Cheryl & David joined her. It was lovely to meet them all & take them around to the places where our Collum's lived.
Largandoy near Tempo where their first house is

Our great-great grandparents, John Collum & Eliza BAXTER were married at Tempo Presbyterian Church in 1862. From there we visited their grave in Colebrooke Church of Ireland cemetery & then the 'big house'Colebrooke on the large Estate where our families were tennant farmers on 9 or 11 acres.
In the afternoon we visited another 2nd cousin, Ethel (Baxter) Keyes husband Roy, daughter Amanda, son David & his family still farming the BAXTER farm! We/ Cheryl particularly excited to see a very new born calf!
It was lovely to spend time with them all again..... & they took us to visit John & Eliza's home where our g-grandfathers would have grown up!! Florence Betty at 93 still living there.
What a wonderful day we had!!!
