Still catching up........ Grey Abbey peninsular

From Belfast we visited Bangor on the coast. It wasn't such a loverly day as it was 10° & freezing cold wind. Tall colourful groups of houses built along the roadside around the bay. Still parts of city wall & OLD stone buildings. Another day we went drove down the peninsula between Strangford Lough & the Irish Sea. This was all MONTGOMERY COUNTRY FROM 1600S ON. Grey Abbey House is still there & we visited. Unfortunately we couldn't go in as the Montgomerys who live there now away in England. They had their own church/ancient Abbey where weddings are still held even though it's in ruins. On the hill overlooking the peninsula is Scrabo Tower.
